Triad Ophthalmic Physicians

As the New Year quickly approaches, many of us think of making some changes, perhaps resolutions to be healthier and happier. Resolutions run the gamut from eating less and exercising more, to having a little something done to help you look younger and feel more confident. Today, the use of noninvasive procedures and treatments are growing in popularity to address the signs of aging. Dr. Chanda A. Griessel of Triad Ophthalmic Physicians not only provides her patients with expert vision care, but specializes in the latest cosmetic procedures, helping you look and feel your very best.

Dr. Chanda A. Griessel is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, glaucoma, eyelid pathology and plastic surgery, as well as eye care for diabetic patients. Dr. Griessel also performs oculoplastic surgeries dealing with the eyelids such as blepharoplasty, entropion, and ectropion repairs, as well as brow lifts. With her knowledge and expertise in these types of treatments, adding Botox ®, Juvederm®, Xeomin, Belotero and Radiesse to address cosmetic concerns was a natural progression. “Our patients are thrilled with our broadening range of options with the same team that they have put their trust in for years for their vision care, offering continuity in their care. Patients like the fact that Botox® and fillers like Juvederm® have very little if any downtime away from their busy lives and offer the results they are looking for,” said Dr. Griessel. The cosmetic procedure options continue at Triad Ophthalmic Physicians with laser treatments, including the Icon laser, Picosure and Sculpsure laser.

The Icon laser, the only one of its kind in the Triad, addresses minimizing wrinkles, offers skin rejuvenation, minimizes acne scars, treats pigment lesions and performs hair removal. The Picosure laser removes tattoos in half the amount of treatments, compared to the traditional Q-switch laser. It can also tighten the loose skin around the neck area by promoting collagen growth in the face, resulting in a tighter, softer complexion. The third laser offered by Dr. Griessel is the Sculpsure laser, which melts 24-25% of fat cells from the area being treated. “With our lasers, there is very little to no downtime involved and procedures last only 25 minutes, making them easy to fit into a busy work day if needed. Because we know that people are interested in what our laser treatments can do, we are offering 20% off all laser procedures for January and February in the new year,” Dr. Griessel commented. A recent addition to the practice is Lori Pendry, who is certified in all the lasers used at Triad Ophthalmic Physicians. She performs most of the procedures and acts as a physician extender to Dr. Griessel. Ms. Pendry has been doing cosmetic laser treatments for over 18 years and has worked with many oculofacial surgeons. “Lori is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to what types of lasers patients would benefit from, as well as the skin care products we offer. Once you make the investment of having a cosmetic procedure, you want to continue to get the optimum results with your daily skincare. We offer Elta MD and Neocutis, not found in stores, both of which are proven to be the top of the line in skin care used by dermatologists. These products have been featured in several women’s magazines and the results that our patients have had with using them along with our laser treatments have been astounding,” stated Dr. Griessel.

Triad Ophthalmic Physicians, PLLC, has patient care at its foundations. “For us, it truly is about establishing a relationship with our patients based on trust and an understanding of any services that may benefit and address their concerns. By taking care of you from eye care to skin care, you save time not having to go from office to office for treatment. Patient satisfaction is our number one priority,” Dr. Griessel said.
