Make Way for Summer with Restoration MedSpa Rejuvenate your skin & boost your confidence!

When it comes to offering sage, expert advice to their clients, the professionals at Restoration MedSpa have only one priority: YOU!

Proud to offer an individualized plan for every client’s unique situation, all in an extremely relaxing spa-like atmosphere, Restoration MedSpa was founded in 2015 by Certified Physician Assistant Marisa Faircloth. It provides results-oriented procedures for treating the many effects of aging on skin, along with luxury facials, hair removal, weight and fat loss, and the most advanced skincare products in the industry. With two locations – one in Winston-Salem and one in Greensboro – Restoration MedSpa continues to grow (having doubled its size since its inception) and expand its services to fulfill the needs of a very loyal customer base.

A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Marisa has more than 35 years of experience in health care, spanning the areas of medical aesthetics, plastic surgery, and weight loss. Along with that impressive resume, she possesses what she calls a God-given gift of relating to others, and a savvy sense of all the elements that contribute to successful client relationships. Along with a staff of seven other professionals, Marisa knows improving one’s confidence can be life changing.

She also knows genetics plays an integral part in aging.

“Becoming aware of familial aging patterns helps a patient to address those concerns early on,” she says. “Most women do follow the aging patterns of their mothers.”

As summer approaches, skincare takes center stage in a woman’s daily routine – or at least, it should!

“Summer is an essential time to take care of your skin,” says Marisa. “Much of the aging process is caused by damage from sun exposure, so it is very important to protect our skin daily with medical grade sunscreen that includes zinc, titanium, and infrared protection. These elements protect against burning and damage to collagen, as well as offer protection against infrared rays that cause pigment damage.” (Hint: That means your sunscreen needs to be reapplied every two hours to maintain adequate protection!)

Marisa stresses that most people vastly underestimate the damage sun exposure can cause.  “As aesthetic professionals, we are obligated to educate our clients about the importance of sun protection,” she says.

Every initial skincare consultation at Restoration MedSpa covers the client’s lifestyle, skin type (oily or dry), and any skin disorders or allergic reactions. After reviewing all these factors, a regimen of skin care products and treatments is recommended, with a goal of improving and repairing skin tissue.

For truly putting your “best self” out there, Restoration MedSpa also provides laser hair removal, a process especially popular with clients in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.  Although hair removal is definitely on your mind as swimsuits and shorter skirts take center stage, it is actually performed less during the summer, simply because the procedure is best performed on “un-tanned” skin.

Marisa is also credentialed as a Master Level Injector, and has surpassed Diamond Status with Allergan, placing her among the top 500 practices and top one percent of injectors in the entire nation. If you’re considering fillers or Botox in the next few months, these treatments are not affected by the sun, and can easily be performed throughout summertime without any concern.

Dedicated to assisting clients be the very best versions of themselves, Marisa has a personal goal of helping people gain confidence, in order to achieve their goals in life.  “When you are more confident and self-assured, all aspects of your life are improved!” she says.
