Camel City Boutique: A Boutique for Every Woman

BY ADELE CASANOVA

There is a new boutique in town! Camel City Boutique is now open on Country Club Road in Winston-Salem. This new, fabulous boutique has something for every age and every size, stocked with the latest fashions ranging in sizes S-3X. Owner of this trendy new boutique, Kristin Tolley, opened her business in February of this year after searching for the perfect location since the previous September. She settled on Club Haven Shopping Center on Country Club Road.  “I grew up in Pfafftown, and we frequented this shopping center often. I have great memories of shopping and eating here with my family,” says Kristin. Kristin also liked the location because there is not another boutique in the neighborhood. The shopping center has recently been updated and looks fresh and inviting. She has remodeled the inside of her boutique in a modern style, accented with vintage wrought iron fixtures, and finished off with a touch of farmhouse.

There is a sign in the window that says, “Come in, we’re awesome!” and it’s true! Kristin is a delightful young woman with infectious enthusiasm.  After growing up in the area and attending Salem College, she has developed a deep love and appreciation for her community. Thus, her choice of name for the boutique! “I want to grow my business here in Winston-Salem and become a local brand known for quality service and fashion,” states Kristin. Operating a boutique in Winston-Salem is a way for Kristin to pay tribute to her home town by being a part of the local economy. It also allows Kristin to celebrate the love of fashion that she developed as a young girl. She is also lucky enough to get to do it with her sister, Brittany, recently graduated from Appalachian State, who works at the boutique on Saturdays, helping clients with their fashion and gift choices.

So, what will you find at Camel City Boutique?  Clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, hats, candles, sunglasses, tumblers and lots of fun, hip items. Kristin sells cute, fashionable clothing for teens and little girls as well. You will also find a large selection of clothes designed especially for curvy women. Kristin carries many trending lines of merchandise including Puppie Love, Sheila Fajl, O Venture, Oak River, Natural Life, Quay, Tipsy and Cast Away.  Swimsuits and beach bags have just arrived in time for planning those upcoming beach trips. New merchandise comes in daily and Kristin informs her customers every day of what is new (via updates and photos on Facebook) so be sure to follow her boutique to stay on top of her latest fashion and gift arrivals and specials.

Kristin wants to serve others through her boutique by regularly offering specials that include donating proceeds to charities. She has already had a special sales event to donate partial proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and plans many more charitable donations in the future. Kristin aims to make shopping in her boutique fun and relaxing. She offers her customers a coffee bar to enjoy while browsing and has special events that include fun themes like Mimosas and Doughnuts! Kristin loves to get to know her customers and enjoys not only helping them shop, but also enjoys customers just stopping in to chat and visit.

Camel City Boutique is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The address is 5009 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104, and you can call the boutique at 336-829-5237. Whether shopping for yourself or for the perfect gift for someone else, you will find quality, modern fashions at Camel City Boutique. Gift cards from the boutique would make much appreciated Mother’s Day gifts! It truly is a “Boutique for Every Woman”!
