Accent Prone: The Comforts of Home

Home isn’t just where your heart is these days – but for the last year or so, home has been where nearly everything is! It’s the landing spot where you’re working, playing, eating, and making memories with your family. Even as life returns to a more normal scenario, home may be thought of a bit differently, as we’ve come to love it as a true haven of peace and comfort.

Cheri and Justin Lingafelt, the talented, savvy founders and designers of Accent Prone in Kernersville, have always encouraged their customers to make a bold statement when it comes to décor, but always in keeping with their own individual style. More recently, they began building on the success of their popular retail store – which has always offered market samples – with complete interior design services.

When they relocated what they lovingly call their “lifestyle boutique” to a new retail space with an additional 2,000 square feet, the Accent Prone Design Center officially took shape, offering a stylish array of fabrics, custom upholstery, wallpaper, lighting, and furniture, including higher-end pieces, as well as their always-popular collection of High Point Market samples.

“We can make any sofa, sectional, or chair type, all with a variety of fabric options,” Cheri explains. “Come into our store, and let’s sit down and help you choose from our design center fabrics, then choose the sofa style, arm or leg style, etc. We are also happy to do in-home design consultations.”

With the current home market so strong, more people are moving, whether it’s buying, selling, or building! But furniture lead times have slowed dramatically due to the pandemic, often as long as six months to a year for furniture delivery. That’s what makes a visit to Accent Prone the perfect option. You can purchase right off the retail floor and take new pieces home with you that day!
“We sell Furniture Market samples and accessories that come right from the showrooms,” says Cheri. “We also have a custom upholstery line as well, if you’re looking for a more specialized touch.”

The pandemic has also inspired people to freshen up their living spaces.

“Everyone we’ve talked to has wanted to make home feel more inviting and comfortable – like their own little piece of paradise,” says Cheri, describing how clients are also making their spaces a little more multi-functional. “Adding in a home office has been a must with Zoom-appropriate backdrops.”

Cheri and Justin have incorporated even more stylish tableware and dining accessories to their inventory, asfamilies definitely want the coziest spot possible to share meals together.
