Pam Boyle.  Allen Tate Realtor & Broker

There is no doubt that Pam Boyle, local Realtor and Broker with Allen Tate Realtors ®, is a hometown girl, which she believes gives her a little something extra she can offer to her clients. “I was born and raised right here in Winston-Salem. My family goes so far back in this area that my great grandparents rode from Hilltop Drive to Winston- Salem along a dirt road in a horse and carriage. I know and love this area; introducing my clients to my hometown or helping them find a place of their own in the area is a wonderful privilege,” stated Boyle.

The new Smart Sizes system offers five sizes (XS-XL) but still covers the complete range of sizes from 32A to 42C. The sizing innovation comes from the fit flexibility of Smart Sizes that delivers two traditional band sizes and two traditional cup sizes in one Smart Size.

Calling All Women!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training (TNT) program is designed for beginners who complete a four to five month training program with certified coaches. In exchange for an expense-free event weekend, participants are asked to raise money toward the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS): to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Over the past 21 years, over 420,000 TNT participants have dedicated their time and energy to train for endurance events like marathons, half marathons, triathlons, century bike rides (100 miles) and hiking adventures. So far, one billion dollars have been raised toward the LLS mission. Although that number is phenomenal and has helped make huge strides in cancer research, we still have a long way to go.

Rosey’s Review – Deacon Tower Grille

Excerpt From Rosey’s Review
Decan Tower Grille

Sitting up on the 4th floor of the Deacon Tower, overlooking BB&T field, is the Deacon Tower Grille. Over the past few weeks, I have heard raves, not only about their food, but also about the service and about the incredible view, sitting above the football field. Everything that I heard was completely true.

The dining room is beautiful, sitting up high on the western side of the football field. Glass walls are on both sides, so that no matter where you are seated, you have plenty of light and a great view. Granted, on one side of the restaurant you cannot see the field, but that only mattered to my husband. The service was equally as brilliant. As soon as we were seated, our server introduced us to the Grille and explained some of the specialties on the menu, which is described as refined regional Southern cuisine. At this point, I must mention that the menu was placed in a pigskin holder for all of the football fans (being the only person in our family who does not like football, I would like it noted that I noticed this, while my husband did not).

football, what images come to your mind? Men sitting around the TV drinking beer, marching bands, tailgate parties, fanatics
persisting through rain, sleet, or snow to watch their teams… There are many positive and negative images associated with football. And while baseball players are the boys of summer, football is an autumn sport. Well, Wake Forest may be about to change that for us.

window tinting is also referred to as “solar window film.” It is a protective film that rejects heat and reduces the amount of infrared, visible light and 99.9% of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from entering your home or business windows.
The protective film also removes as much as 79% of the heat coming in, and inhibits fading of furniture, carpets and drapes. Additionally, it reduces glare and inhibits warping of your wood floors.
Another benefit you may not have thought about is child safety. Children are simply not as cautious as adults and are prone to accidents. Window film acts as a protective shield against broken glass. When glass breaks, it typically shatters and pieces become daggers. Window film keeps the pieces together and reduces the hazards of broken glass because the glass adheres to the film. While it won’t stop the problem entirely, it definitely helps.
There are also crime stopping benefits to window tint. Your windows and doors are the typical entry points for burglars, especially smash and grab thieves. If thieves can’t see in, they will be hesitant to break the glass. While tinted glass is no alternative to alarms and security systems, it adds one more small layer of home and business security. A discouraged thief will likely move on to an easier target.
