An Interesting Retirement Plan
For owners Bonnie Kiger and Randall Tuttle, The Dogwood in Lewisville and The Dogwood Boutique, are their ideas of retirement. They waited until most people’s career plans are ending to venture out and make their dream of a shop or shops come true.
“Randall and I grew up in the area, and after a few moves away to live at the beach, we reconnected and together are doing something we enjoy. The Dogwood in Lewisville was Randall’s dream and I am excited to join him on the journey, and The Dogwood Boutique just adds to the fun,” said Bonnie.
Randall commented, “Family, for both of us, is close by and their support on this venture has been invaluable. Customers may see our family in both shops, as they like to drop by and say hello.”
A Boutique with Two Shops at One Location!
Small, locally owned businesses have become a major draw to those interested in shopping and supporting local and also finding items that are a bit different and unique compared to things you could buy at a big box store. The Dogwood in Lewisville and The Dogwood Boutique offer gifts for others, and maybe a little gift for you on days when you want to treat yourself.
Both shops have something for everyone from new to vintage, antiques, to gifts and home decor.
“We offer reasonably priced women’s clothing, infant and children’s clothing, gifts, jewelry, accessories, and even shoes! In one-stop shopping, we hope our customers can find something for everyone on their gift list or perhaps a little pick me up for themselves,” Bonnie stated.
Customer Service and Personal Touch Make for a Great Shopping Experience
Customer service sets both shops apart with Randall and Bonnie at The Dogwood in Lewisville and Yvonne Aull at The Dogwood Boutique.
“All of us focus on making shopping relaxed and fun, while showing our customers all that makes us special. We have really focused on the customer experience, but have also made an effort to offer items of quality, with great price points, all with presentation within the shops,” stated Bonnie. The Dogwood Boutique in Lewisville is the only boutique in the area that carries Tonies, which are screen free devices for children ages two to eight years old.
“The Tonies have really become a hit with our customers. We also have some precious clothing for infants and toddlers. Teens can find some cool pieces of clothing and moms and grandmas have plenty to pick from, too. We just want customers to feel special and love what they wear!” Bonnie said.
