The Barn at Reynolda Village Welcomes You

Spend an afternoon in Reynolda Village, and you’re bound to notice the happy hustle and bustle of event attendees coming and going from The Barn at Reynolda Village. From corporate meetings and retreats to rehearsal dinners and wedding celebrations, The Barn is an elegant host venue with a fascinating history.

The New Dairy Barn, now The Barn at Reynolda Village, was designed by Charles Barton Keen in 1916, and it made Reynolda one of the most modern dairies of its time. In the 1900s, a modern farm wasn’t complete unless it had a dairy, and Katharine Reynolds saw to it that her “new dairy barn” was one of the best.

The Dairy Barn was one of the first barns in the country to have a concrete floor. Though expensive, the floor minimized the spread of bacteria which would spoil the milk. The cows were also given the same drinking water as the village residents, fresh from the local spring. Long after the days of housing cows and after many years of serving as a home to various shops and offices, the barn was renovated and reopened in 2016 as a private special event venue.

As The Barn at Reynolda Village approaches its fifth anniversary, I spoke with its sales manager, Tabatha Renegar, about what makes The Barn at Reynolda Village so popular. “Our clients and guests simply adore the charm and elegance that The Barn offers. The crisp, white walls, combined with so much natural light and classic architecture, create an ideal warm, and inviting venue.”

As sales manager, Tabatha meets with all prospective clients to learn about their event needs and show them the many options that The Barn offers for social and corporate events alike.

What kind of events are people coming to The Barn to plan?

We are so lucky to be a good fit for so many kinds of gatherings! Our 2nd-floor spaces, The Attic and The Loft, do double duty as comfortable and well-appointed meeting rooms, and then they seamlessly transition into dressing rooms for our wedding couples. They are also great for small staff retreats and strategic planning sessions. On the Main Level, we enjoy booking everything from charming, private dinners for 12 to joyful receptions for 130!

Why would a business choose The Barn for a corporate function?

Besides the pleasing aesthetics of The Barn itself, it’s impossible to overstate the amenities that The Village offers! Free parking in a lovely setting, shops to explore, and diverse dining options. Not to mention the best operations manager in the Triad, my colleague, Dawn, who makes events stress-free and fun!

And your wedding packages are pretty special, too, right?

Oh my gosh, yes! From April through October, the historic Reynolda Gardens are a stunning and exclusive ceremony location, just a lovely four-minute stroll from The Barn. Receptions take place either on The Village Green in a custom tent installation or inside The Barn on the Main Level with the coolest looking bar in town, inside our silo!

You seem to really enjoy your job!

I am so lucky to be here! I get to spend my days in a beautiful setting, meeting people from all walks of life planning events for so many varied reasons! I hear fun engagement stories, get to learn about people’s lives, and get to see beautiful events come to life. There’s no place I’d rather be!
