Beyond grateful for 11 exciting years of making memories at their storefront in Winston-Salem, LoveWell Boutique owners Anitra and Brad Mitchell have watched their own family grow up (sons, Cooper and Turner, who can always be spotted behind the scenes!) and witnessed — with gratitude — a close-knit community of loyal clients emerge.

While styles have come, gone, and often circled back for an encore, the heartfelt commitment behind the Lovewell Boutique family has only flourished. Forsyth Woman is also proud to say we’ve been partners with Anitra and Brad since the very beginning!

“We’re excited to celebrate 11 years in our current location, and have some exciting events planned for September 21st and 22nd,” says Anitra. Chatting with Anitra and Operations Manager Serene, you get a sense they have a growing excitement for the new fall season — and honestly, don’t we all?

“We love the season change,” explains Anitra. “It’s the time to take what you have in your closet, and start transitioning those pieces into looks for a new season. Let us help you flip your closet — that’s where our team really shines!”

Fall is definitely looking colorful, according to Anitra, in shades that will really make you smile! 

“We’re also seeing a fun retro vibe — especially for sweaters and tops,” she adds. “This fall can be your season to be bold — but still keep true to the sophistication you love. There will always be plenty of neutrals and classics — so there’s something for everybody.”

She’s also delighted that LoveWell Boutique has been designated a “Liverpool Destination Store” — a distinction for only a certain number of boutiques across the United States. “Education builds confidence,” explains Anitra, mentioning events they offer regularly, including makeup tutorials and bra fittings by the experts. The talented ladies at LoveWell Boutique all work full-time — something of a novelty in retail — which shows their dedication and passion for what they do. Regular clients have come to know operations manager Serene, as Anitra’s right-hand in everything boutique-related.  Having been here for the past six years, she’s an integral part of all things LWB. You’ll meet Jennifer (the retail administrator and “hub” of the store!), Shelley, who oversees intake and shipping, and of course, stylist Valerie. You may not see Brad often, he’s always around, strengthening the business side of LoveWell Boutique. The LWB ladies like to think of the store as their home away from home, so when you come by for a visit, you’re greeted like a best friend! But there’s also a secret to that.

“We know some customers like to browse and decide on their own, and others want to be ‘one of the girls’ and have us jump right into their search for something perfect,” says Anitra. The team knows that gauging a customer’s “shopping profile” is important, and it’s a topic often discussed at their monthly team-building sessions.

“We learn so much during these times together about communicating and connecting with each other, then we see it play out with our customer relationships, too!” says Anitra. “It helps us serve customers better when we serve each other’s needs well also.”
