“We have very little staff turn over,” said Dr. Summer. “This is great for us because we are able to develop a strong trust within our team, but it’s a great added benefit we offer our clients. It adds to the relationship part of our business, which is our most important service.”

- Leigh Summer, who has been a general medicine practitioner for 21 years (and still works one day a week at her husband’s practice, Summer FamilyCare, with a focus on women’s wellness).She opened Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics in 2009.
- Kristen Murphy, PA-C, who has been a certified physician’s assistant since 1997, and a part of the Lewisville Laser team since 2013. She and Dr. Summer are both Master Injectors of Juvederm and Restylane filler families.
- Hannah Allen, a licensed esthetician who has worked for Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics since 2012.
- Kristin Carson, who joined the team in 2014 and is a certified group fitness instructor, in addition to her role as an assistant and receptionist.
- Sydney Morrison, who has worked as an esthetician for Lewisville Laser and Aesthetics since She has continued to pursue new certifications in areas of interest including lash lifts and electrolysis, along with other esthetics services.
- Anne Abernethy, who has been serving as receptionist since 2016 andis the first face clients see when they arrive at Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics. It’s her friendly voice that helps set up appointments and consultations.

“Everyone on our team has gone through extensive training,” said Dr. Summer, “and we are proud to be recognized by our peers for our expertise.” Esthetician Hannah is a prime example. “Hannah is one of only two Ulthera Clinical Educators in the entire state,” noted Dr. Summer. “She is regularly consulted for training. Our patients love that they are in the very best care when it comes to customizing their skincare regime.”
Dr. Summer is also a recognized Master Injector of Voluma and Juvederm fillers. She believes natural beauty will always look better. “I am not interested in making someone look like anyone but themselves. I believe all my patients are beautiful, and it’s through these kinds of resources that I can simply enhance what is already there.”
Medical Professionals Onsite
Many aesthetic clinics have onsite estheticians, but not every clinic has a medical professional onsite, much less two. “Besides myself,” said Dr. Summer, “we have Kristen Murphy who is a certified physician assistant. Kristen or I are always in the office during operating hours. While our estheticians are fantastic at what they do, there are certain procedures only performed by Kristen or myself. And our patients like knowing that medical experts are on hand for any questions that go beyond the basics.”
Customized Skincare
“Skincare cannot come in a packaged set,” said Dr. Summer. “Correction—it shouldn’t come in a packaged set. Everyone’s needs are different. Not to mention, everyone has a different budget! Our team only recommends products that will benefit the client where she is… physically and financially.
“After all,” she continued, “the needs of a 15 years old struggling with acne are very different from the 40-something-year-old woman who needs to reverse sun damage.”
