Hello, September! How’d you get here so fast??
What a month! The transition from August to September is always an interesting one in the magazine world. We go from celebrating all that is summer to a deep dive into the fall, getting ready for the holidays. As you read this magazine, our editorial team is somewhere between Halloween and Thanksgiving!
As we were getting ready to send September off to print, Forsyth Mags hosted a wonderful fundraising event called “An Insta-Worthy Fundraiser.” The event was designed to support Family Services of Winston-Salem, and we were so grateful for the contributions by the team at Footnote Coffee & Cocktails, Twin City Floral, Hauser Rental, Photo Ramit Productions, Christina’s Dessertery and Photo Artistry by Melinda. It was an elegant evening of fun for a great cause.

I’m especially proud of my daughter, Brooke. In addition to her responsibilities at the magazine, she coordinated the Insta-Worthy Fundraiser! I am continually amazed to watch her grow in her love for volunteer work in our community. In addition to Brooke’s community advocacy, she was selected to be a part of the inaugural class of Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons!
Brooke has always been a hard worker, but in the last year she has really stepped things up to help out while Tim and I have dealt with health issues and the loss of my dad. She is also stepping into the leadership shoes of Forsyth Woman. Watching her continues to boost my confidence that when I pass the torch, she’ll take over without skipping a beat.
By the time the magazines arrive, school will be back in the swing of things, and we hope everyone is back into the routine and that school has gotten off to a great start.
We hope to see you at GNO this month – we’ll be at Footnote on September 10th, which always promises to be a great evening!
