The View From My Side August 2019

July – another crazy month. I don’t know why I expect them to be boring.  They never are, but I’m grateful for another BIG month!  We had a lot going on…

First, I have to share some GREAT news!  I got a clean bone scan report, and that is a HUGE relief to my family and me.  I thank you all for your continued prayers for my health and the health of my husband, Tim!

Our other big news – we have a new grandbaby!  Well, a four-legged one!  Brooke has wanted a new dog for a while, and she finally adopted a Bernedoodle that she’s named Carter.  He’s a cross between a poodle and a Bernese Mountain dog making him a hypoallergenic breed. This is great for my son Tanner who loves dogs but is highly allergic.

Not only did Carter join our family, my mom, and step-dad, Charlie, adopted Carter’s sister, Missy. So double the fun at our house!

July’s GNO was extra special for me as I turned 60 years old that day.  We celebrated at Providence Restaurant, and I donated my birthday to the Second Harvest Food Bank!  All total, we raised $XX to help them, and I am beyond excited about it!  Thank you so much to everyone for your generous donations and support!

Hopefully, you regularly use our Calendar pages!  Check out page 126 for some great end-of-summer events in August and beyond. Please pay special attention to the Insta-worthy Fundraising event that will be on August 15th at Footnote Coffee & Cocktails.  We are proud to put on an event unlike anything we’ve done before!  So please visit our Instagram account (@ForsythMags) to learn about this event that will benefit Family Services of Winston-Salem. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at TinyUrl.com/InstaworthyFundraiser.

As always, thank you for reading!  When I sit down and think about it – it’s just mind-boggling.  As of this month, I’ve been allowed to do what I love to do 168 times.  And next month marks our 14th anniversary.  We can’t do it without you – our readers and our advertising partners. Thank you for equipping us, inspiring us, motivating us, and believing in us!

Until next time,

Keela
