The View: September 2018

I love September. School’s back in session and life feels normal again.  While I’m sure there are thousands of students who disagree and miss the summer break, there’s something about returning to a normal pace that speaks to me. I guess I’m a creature of habit and, as my team can attest, I don’t really have an off-season!

This summer was a little nostalgic for us.  My husband and I had our son, Tanner, at home for the bulk of the summer as his lease was up and he was trying to make some decisions about his future.  We are thrilled to share that Tanner began a new job on August 27th.  His new job has him relocating to the Raleigh area, and while we miss him already, we are excited to have him relatively close by.  When I think that a year ago I was prepared to have him move to Texas – I can handle a couple of hours drive to Raleigh!  I’m definitely not going to complain!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the August GNO at Legacy Saddlebreds and Event Center!  We had a great turnout, and our annual school supply campaign for Educator Warehouse was another tremendous success!

We hope you’ll visit us again at Legacy later this month!  We are proud sponsors of the Bridal Expo at Legacy Event Center on September 30th!  If you know of someone who is planning a wedding, please be sure to let them know of the event!  It’s going to be a great resource for local brides!

A great big shout out, too, to our cover advertiser 1502 Fabrics!  1502 Fabrics has been a great advertising partner to Forsyth Woman, and we love their amazing selection and incredible staff!

Finally – I ran across this quote from Mahatma Gandhi and wanted to share it with you because I loved it. How wonderful things would be if everyone embraced this:

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.

Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.

Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.

Keep your habits positive because your behavior becomes your values.

Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.

As always, thank you for reading and being a part of Forsyth Woman!  We love bringing you this magazine every month and thank you for your support! Please be sure you let our advertisers know you saw them in this month’s issue!
