Festival season is upon us, and it is time to book your weekends with fun activities for your family and friends. I know I like to fill up my weekends with festivals and outdoor events. Being an event coordinator, I’ve had 20 years of event experience, and this year my team was searching for something new and exciting to offer the community.
Two of the greatest benefits of owning and running Favored Conferences and Events, LLC are the opportunity to help others and the chance to build meaningful connections. This is where my team began to dream: “What Favored event could we create to bring the community together and deliver an unforgettable experience?”
That’s how Fizz & Beats™ Zero Proof Fest was born! The Favored team wanted to bring the Triad its FIRST Zero Proof Festival!
You might ask what inspired this new concept? Well, it was a combination of an amazing team, a history of working in substance use prevention and some ideas around mindfulness that caused us to dream and share the idea with others.
We couldn’t have predicted the overwhelming interest and response from the community! We heard things like: “This sounds so amazing!” “What a great idea!” “We don’t drink, and there is never anything for us.” “We don’t mind it but people don’t use moderation.” “I have family members in recovery and they would love this!”
As a team, we were able to create something new, exciting, and meaningful. What makes it even better? We are supporting an amazing non-profit, The Greater Piedmont Adult & Teen Challenge, which helps people overcome addictions and live a life of recovery and faith.
But, just as pleased as we are about building these connections and helping others, we are equally as excited about a day of showcasing INCREDIBLE LOCAL MUSICIANS, DELICIOUS FOOD TRUCKS, AND AN ARRAY OF UNIQUE MOCKTAILS AND BEVERAGES, specially crafted for FIZZ & BEATS™ at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville!
Fizz & Beats™ is not your typical festival! Not only can you indulge in delicious food and mocktails, you’ll have the chance to explore amazing vendors for those special holiday gifts. And let’s not forget about the festival scenery: the breathtaking renowned botanical garden backdrop for our full musical lineup.
Building into our mission of connection, our team is able to showcase a variety of local musical talent that ranges from the hip hop lyrics of Monty!, the beats of F4SHO, country vibes from Taylor Mason, Indie/Folk from Sandy Uselton, and closing out the event a local favorite: Joy Rivers from Souljam with her band Joy and Pain!
The dream of our team comes together as people will share these moments with friends and family, all with a safe and sober environment, not lacking in fun activities, contests, prizes, and lawn games!
We are keeping connection at the heart of the event, so we’ve partnered with some incredible local drink vendors to bring you unique mocktails that you can experience and celebrate. You will receive a complimentary beverage with your ticket, and have the chance to drop your “voting ice crystal” into the cup of your favorite vendor, helping us award the first annual Mix Master! And just to “mix it up,” a couple of our Mixologists will create a favorite beverage for a blind taste test!
Our team is full of foodies and music lovers! With Fizz & Beats™, you’ll get a variety of incredible music and tastes to satisfy your senses along with the amazing aesthetics of the gorgeous Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden! What’s not to love?!
