Let’s Meet at the Brookstown Inn

Administrative professionals and event planners have one common need:  great meeting space that is affordable.  And if that meeting space is also charming, centrally located, full of history, and includes a resident cat named Sally, all the better.  For those who are planning meetings in the Triad, look no further than Winston-Salem’s own Historic Brookstown Inn.

A gateway location that is between the historic district of Winston-Salem and downtown, plus conveniently accessible to Clemmons, Kernersville, High Point, and Greensboro, the Historic Brookstown Inn is a perfect example of what happens when an entrepreneurial spirit meets (and appreciates) historical architecture. The building dates back to the 1840s and was once used as a cotton mill.  Visiting the museum turns a meeting into an experience because it’s no longer just a standard hotel… it’s a place to discover the rich history of Winston-Salem. It’s a living museum where a group can enjoy stellar service and comfortable meeting accommodations.

Allison Watts, the Director of Sales, shared, “We love hosting meetings at the Historic Brookstown Inn because we really are a one-of-a-kind property.  It is great to welcome our guests and show them all the fun nuances that make us unique. We’re especially excited to welcome guests now because our ballroom has just been updated with new carpet and drapes!  It has always been a pretty room, but we love the updated look.”

The Historic Brookstown Inn has been hosting meetings for years, but the team recently updated the meeting space packages. “We saw a need and opportunity to simplify,” said Allison. “We know our clients want this to be easy, and we certainly want to make it easy for them.  They are busy trying to coordinate the content they need to meet about…  they shouldn’t have to worry about all the details of a meeting set up.  Our new packages have significantly simplified things for everyone.”

The meeting packages offered at the Historic Brookstown Inn include a partial day option, half-day option, full day option, and a full day with dinner option. “Our clients love these packages. It’s much easier to stay within the budget if you don’t have to try to keep factoring in a la carteoptions,” said Allison. “All of our packages include at least one snack for the group, beverage service, audiovisual equipment, complimentary parking, and special room rates – if overnight accommodations are needed.

“That’s the baseline for partial day meeting rental,” continued Allison. “For half day options and up, at least one meal is included by our incredible catering staff. It’s all packaged together, and the only optional add-on that a planner needs to worry about is whether or not to participate in our nightly wine and cheese reception!”

An additional benefit to planning a meeting at the Historic Brookstown Inn is the parking. “Parking downtown can be a nightmare,” conceded Allison, “But our property has free, onsite parking for our guests. That’s kind of hard to come by when you’re dealing with events that are downtown.  Especially since our parking lot is actually quite large and secure.”

But the biggest difference planners will find is in the communication. “We have a very hands-on approach to meeting planning,” said Allison. “Our team is very involved from start to finish.  We believe in the personal touch, and it shows in the quality of our service and the attention to detail.  We make sure everything that is discussed between our team and our clients is communicated to those who are involved in set up and catering.”

Planners can be confident in the stellar reputation for which the Historic Brookstown Inn is noted. Also, the property can accommodate groups as small as 20 and up to 200.

For those who need to plan a meeting, the Historic Brookstown Inn is a memorable option that groups love.  Contact Allison soon to reserve your space and learn more about the meeting packages that are available for your group.
