“Beautiful Spring” – Lyrics by Susan and Hans

Birds emerge from a sea of green

As I stand outside painting

Many colors and luminous dreams

No more cold days, no more waiting.

Sometimes I feel like I can fly

Beautiful spring and sunny skies.

Sometimes I cry but don’t know why

Beautiful spring and clear blue skies.

Redbud trees and daffodils

Little white clouds floating by.

Tears of happiness fall without a sound

Are they yours or are they mine?

Sometimes I feel like I can fly

Beautiful spring and sunny skies.

Sometimes I cry, but don’t know why

Beautiful spring and clear blue skies.

After transcending out of winter’s icy grip and many months of crippling cold, moody gray skies turn an optimistic blue as the sun’s rays shine through.

Wings spread, taking flight, our spirits set free as we soar through the sky. Songbirds grace our ears melodically, synchronizing and harmonizing among the symphony of nature. Crickets chime in, joining nature’s chorus in a string section of joyous sounds. The spring season embraces our ears. The silence of winter is over and spring lives on. From dusk to dawn, a glorious sunrise spreads across the horizon reminding us of the continuity of life and beauty of eternity that cannot be defined.

The “greening” of the trees is almost imperceptible. Hints of green color transform and burst into a glorious canopy of green leaves. New life is bursting out.  Soon we’ll be tilling the soil. We’ll gather watering cans and soaker hoses in a cyclical journey to nurture a vibrant garden, thriving and growing.

With the dawning of spring, we celebrate the grace and triumph of a brand-new fresh day, a new season, and a new chapter in the book of our lives.
