What Happens When Your Boyfriend or Husband Cheats On You….With Football?

BY SCOTT STEWART

Award-winning sportswriter and self-proclaimed “dainty tomboy” LaTasha D. Miles brings her experiences as a football sideline reporter and radio and TV personality into her debut release.  Appropriately titled When Football Season Turns You Into His Side Chick: The Ultimate Survival Guide For Relationships & Households During Football Season, the author discusses the dynamics of how and why relationships may change during the most wonderful time of the year: football season (hence turning women into side chicks because their male counterparts become engrossed in the excitement).

With an insightful look, there are entertaining explanations to women regarding why men are the way they are when the games are on, and amusing tips for those who feel neglected or “cheated on” during football season.  Because Miles understands both unique perspectives, the versatile sports journalist is the perfect storyteller for this topic of discussion.  Most of this jovial story is told from a guy’s perspective since the Winston-Salem State graduate understands it coming from a sports journalism background.  This must-read book even dives into the psychological aspect of men attempting to balance their relationships and their love for football, but also provides a more delicate and sensitive approach of catering to women’s emotions, a side that the decorated female journalist also understands completely.

From handling various situations in the world of watching football, like fantasy football and witty anecdotes of some competitive scenarios such as who’s watching the “big TV” while the games are on, this book answers several penetrating questions including, “What is a side chick?”  There is some mature content in this manuscript as the former sports editor addresses how intimacy levels also adjust during football season.  This is especially the case in the differences between his team’s wins and losses.  The book will also open the lines of communication on how a man can successfully balance two of his loves … his love for the woman in his relationship and his love for football.

Miles, whose love for the game of football runs with unfathomable depth, is thrilled to share her advice with the world.  When asked what she hopes readers take from the book, Miles said with excitement, “I hope that both parties involved in their respective relationships are able to compromise and realize that football season is actually one of the most wonderful times of the year and my book provides the perfect therapy, especially from August to February. It offers some assurance for the women, glazed with my feminine touch, some explanation without excuse on the men’s behalf, and some balance and understanding for both genders.”

This collection of interesting tips and resolutions will prescribe the perfect balance on how to keep peace in your relationships and households … well, at least during football season.

LaTasha Miles has covered sports in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Indiana.  She’s interviewed Hall of Fame members Bobby Bowden, Terry Bradshaw, and Dick MacPherson. The standout has also been featured on local and national radio and television stations more than 30 times, alongside former NFL players and joined on set with Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon of ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption.

In addition to football, LaTasha is an enthusiast for fashion, interior decorating, traveling and volunteering, and is a fanatic of choreography and listening to music, especially Beyoncé. She enjoys bowling and swimming, and absolutely adores full-blooded Boxer dogs and children.

Her love for God, family, and friends, and helping others are at the center of what keeps her grounded.
