How does laser treatment work?
Without getting too technical, it essentially kills the blood supply to the hair follicles by sending highly concentrated light into them. The follicles absorb the light and destroy the hair. Understandably, hair that is coarse, dark, dense, and/or has an accelerated growth pattern necessitates a more aggressive treatment plan.
How many treatments are needed?
The amount of time needed for 85-90% permanent hair growth reduction is dependent upon the area for hair removal, with approximately 6 sessions lasting anywhere between 20 minutes (e.g. upper lip) to 60 minutes (e.g. full legs).
