Fresh Colors, Fabrics, and Design

As I prepare to attend the Atlanta market, I can’t help but reflect on our economy. I try to be loyal to my vendors just as my customers and clients have been loyal to me. Although things have been tough for a few years, vendors are working feverishly to show off their latest and greatest design ideas and colors with much enthusiasm.

Showrooms are working to redesign their space with their new product. After the market, retailers will do the same upon returning to their stores. We always redo the store in early spring to inspire clients. Long live the neighborhood shop where a customer can walk in, touch, and feel the fabric, and even try out a new sofa or chair – drastically more different than shopping online!

Buying locally is one of the most important things we can all do to support the economy and stabilize the housing and the job market in our area. For every $100.00 spent in locally-owned stores, $68.00 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. Where furniture is concerned, your dollars can also have a major impact on neighboring communities like High Point and Lexington. Believe it or not, there are wonderful companies that still manufacture their furniture in North Carolina. Most companies are very custom. Style is important when making decisions.

In our retail store and design center, we are pleased to carry such lines as Hickory Chair, Hickory White, Miles Talbot/ Michael Thomas, Our House, Design Master, Ambella, and other NC-made furnishings.  We are always in the market for the most unique item we can find.  We shop directly for our clients for art, accessories, and beautiful fabrics. All of these companies manufacture their furniture within a 100-mile radius of Clemmons. When dealing with the price of a sofa, often the adage “if it seems too good to be true, it usually is” seems appropriate. The manufacturers listed above all use 8-way hand tied cushions and kiln dried wood. Both are essential to the quality and strength of the furniture. Another consideration is the content and durability of the fabric. As you price furniture, also be aware of the services provided by the company where you make your purchase. At June DeLugas Interiors, Inc., we have experienced qualified interior designers who can assist in the selection of your product. Our staff attends seminars at many of the companies we carry, and if we do not know the answer to your questions, we can usually find out within 24 hours. Not only do we provide white glove delivery for all our furniture, but one of our staff will be at your home during set-up to ensure your satisfaction and answer any questions you may have. Should a problem arise, our staff will begin seeking a resolution immediately.

We invite you to visit our showroom and view some of the beautiful items being handcrafted in your own backyard.

It all starts with a plan and we say Live Stylishly.
