Dear June; Thinking About a Kitchen Remodel?

When we start a project with our clients, we don’t know in what direction it is going to take us, or them. Recently, we installed the finishing touch in a client’s kitchen – beautiful baby blue linen panels. Amongst their refinished round table and painted chairs, the window treatment is the perfect accent to blend the space into the newly remodeled kitchen. While our design process is extensive, the steps we take ensure that our clients’ designs will be more beautiful than they could ever imagine.

The first step is getting to know our clients. We want to understand their space and what hopes they have for its potential. We measure each room, along with the windows, take pictures from multiple angles and write down notes outlining our client’s every desire of their dream design. These measurements are then used to create scaled drawings we use as a guide to select new furnishings and propose remodel ideas, if requested. After that, the real fun begins where we gather fabrics and other finishes from our plethora of options and brainstorm creative ideas with these materials at the center. It’s the materials that inspire our minds and feed the part of our souls that live and breathe design.

If you look at this home’s features, we handpicked a series of materials that create a French modern, timeless design atmosphere. Herringbone patterned wood floors and inset cabinets add a modern flare and are softened by the quartz countertop and light fixtures. The brushed brass curtain rods allow the breakfast area to bleed into the newly remodeled kitchen. The painted chairs with a subtle animal print detail add a modern touch that is matched by the hand painted china cabinet that features a subtle wallpaper detail on the back panel for a unique and refined look. The mixed metals adorning the custom hood (not pictured) were curated to fit the client’s style – a mixture of two that, when brought together, create a harmonious and beautiful space that we promise will be loved for years to come.

Simple elegance is more of a statement these days. Visit us at junedelugasinteriors.com, and click “Projects” at the top of the page to see additional homes we have done.
