“The love we have for our clients, and the relationships we have built with them through the years is what sets us apart,” says owner Ashley Hurst Myers, a licensed hairstylist since 2005, a proud business owner, and an avid believer that her clients come first.
Having recently celebrated five years in business, Ashley describes her long-time personal goal to open her own salon. “My mom was a hairdresser, so it’s something I grew up around,” she says. “When I enrolled in cosmetology school, I had found a true passion!”
When new clients – and a bustling book of loyal regulars – come through the door, they find an elegant reception area leading to suites with chic décor and chandelier lighting, channeling the feel of coming home. They know, without a doubt, they will always be pampered!
Much of the full-service studio’s success – and certainly its warm, welcoming vibe – comes from the caring personalities of its dedicated staff. Those consistent team members – Priscilla Beasley, Laura Groce, Emily Phillips, Amanda Crawford, and Taylor Phillips – are perhaps the salon’s biggest asset.
“I have been so fortunate to have had the same stylists now for five years!” says Ashley. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of women to work with every day – we are definitely a family!”
Blending resumes of professional skills and strengths that complement each other so well, the Bella Hair staff also supports each other in a mission to never stop moving forward and growing in their profession. With a menu of personalized hair services (including cut, style, and color), waxing, tinting, and makeup services that include assisting clients in establishing an everyday beauty routine, or styling hair and makeup application for the bride and her wedding party, focusing on finding each client’s personal best is what drives every appointment at Bella Hair.
“We do hair and makeup for brides and their bridesmaids every weekend,” says Ashley. “It’s so rewarding to be part of one of their most special days!” From up-dos or a glamorous full make-over to loose, romantic curls for an anniversary outing, the possibilities are endless.
Having grown up in Winston-Salem, Ashley is especially proud of finding her professional niche right in her hometown.
“My favorite part of being a business owner is just looking back and seeing how far I have come as a woman, and also that I reached one of my goals – to own my own business – and that it has been successful,” explains Ashley. “It’s the most awesome feeling ever to be not only a wife and mother, but a business owner and a part of the local business community!”
