Art for Art’s: Sake Red Dog Gallery

Red Dog Gallery celebrates its 8th year anniversary this month.  The Gallery is owned and managed by Art for Art’s Sake, known as the AFAS Group, a volunteer-based nonprofit organization in Winston-Salem.  Our mission is to “Build, Educate and Celebrate Community Through Art.” We work with local artists of all levels in their careers, from aspiring artists to those with established careers, to help them reach their full potential.  To become an AFAS artist, visit our website at theafasgroup.com.

The AFAS Group’s Red Dog Gallery showcases the works of a variety of talented local artists and craftsmen.  From rich paintings and raku pottery to handmade jewelry and whimsical sculpture, the items and styles on display at the gallery are constantly changing – and there’s always something new to discover for every sensibility and budget. A popular feature is the Art-o-mat (circle R), a retired cigarette machine that has been converted to vend art.

Red Dog Gallery is located on the ground floor in the AFAS Center for the Arts at 630 North Liberty Street in Winston-Salem and is open Tuesday – Friday 11 to 6 and Saturday 11-4.
