The second annual Women on the Move Conference [WOMC] delivered even more joy, love, inspiration, and SHINE than anticipated! Approximately 275 empowered women coming together at one venue is always a reason to celebrate, and this amazing spring Monday — March 20, 2023 — was one for the ages!
Welcoming you to the picture-perfect WinMock at Kinderton that morning were bright smiles, beautiful flowers, delicious food and drink, and fun shopping with local vendors — all of our favorite things. Most of all, an air of anticipation filled every corner of that gorgeous venue, along with the brightly lit word of the day: SHINE!
If you’re an avid reader of Forsyth Magazines, you look forward every month to the long-running Women on the Move column in Forsyth Woman, spotlighting the exciting accomplishments of some always-amazing local women. With the realization that a larger celebration of “Women on the Move” was in order, Forsyth Woman magazine publisher Brooke Eagle gathered a creative team to put together the inaugural conference in 2022. This second version of the conference was equally as impactful as the first event, filled with purposefully chosen speakers, incredibly generous sponsors and supporters, and an audience of eager women anxious to share and grow together. There’s no doubt that “Empowered Women Empower Women!”
Also in true Forsyth Woman style, WOMC 2023 was a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses through on-site shopping, and swag bags for participants, filled with goodies and special discounts from local businesses — plus there were amazing door prizes presented throughout the day!
Best of all — this was an event (and always will be!) for literally every woman, no matter your age, career, or personal circumstances. You didn’t necessarily need to be a business owner or budding entrepreneur, but simply a woman looking to improve herself and SHINE her own very special light in the world! If you were lucky enough to attend this year’s incredible conference, you likely left with a new friend or two, a new creative idea, and definitely with a new attitude!
