No time of the year brings on thoughts of the past quite like Christmas; much of the magic of Christmas can be found in your decor, your tree and its decorations. Whether you grew up with glass ornaments, wooden nutcrackers, ceramic trees, finial tree toppers, bubble lights, or garland on the banister, pulling a vintage Christmas together is possible at The Barn on Country Club, in Winston-Salem, NC, with decorations of yesteryear to get your home ready for the holidays!
An Eclectic Collection
At The Barn on Country Club, customers will find unique and ever-changing collections of high-quality furniture, as well as decor from all eras and design styles including farmhouse, modern farmhouse, mid-century modern, antique, shabby chic, modern, rustic, and hand-crafted live-edge table sets. But during the holiday season, The Barn on Country Club has a few extras!
“When decorating for the holidays, customers will find a little bit of everything including collectibles, farmhouse style decor, wreaths, ornaments, vintage ornaments, retro items, old books and games, and much more. If a customer is wanting to create a Christmas look from the past, they can easily walk through our three floors of unique finds and collectibles to create something special and not cookie cutter for their home. We are not a big box store with items that are mass produced; we are all about unique decor you don’t find everywhere,” said Renee Floyd, Owner of The Barn on Country Club.
The Barn on Country Club offers customers the opportunity to walk in and find things they remember while visiting their grandparents or things they may have had growing up.
“When we see customers find items they remember from their childhood, we enjoy it as much as they do. Those things are what gives a home the ‘magic’ of having items that make you smile when you think back to a simpler time. These items can be blended with your modern or new decor, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year. Just think about finding a vintage Coca-Cola bottle box and filling it with greenery, candles, and berries and using it as a tablescape! During the summer, you can use this same red and white Coca-Cola during the 4th of July and with napkins, utensils, for a cool focal point as a gathering,” Deb Gentry, Marketing Manager at The Barn on Country Club, commented.
Holiday Decorating Made Easy
Decorating for Christmas can be overwhelming, but Renee and Deb can help you find those special items and put them up to bring Christmas past to your home, all in one stop at The Barn on Country Club.
“Creating the cozy, comfortable, ‘Home for the Holidays’ feel, using items from The Barn on Country Club, along with pieces customers already have, is what we do best. We can also assist customers on a per customer basis with private decorating and shopping! We can assist with guidance on decorating and enlist help from Deb with using items from The Barn to create a vintage ‘Home for the Holidays’ feel,” commented Renee.
So if this is the year you want to bring a little bit of your past memories into your Christmas present, The Barn on Country Club can definitely help you find those items that bring back good memories and help make new Christmas memories with vintage items and decor.
