No matter how many guests are gathered at your Thanksgiving or Christmas table this year, food is decidedly the main attraction as you celebrate simply being together!
With little or no extra time on your November and December calendar, there’s only one name to count on for the comfort food you absolutely need this time of year: Simply Southern Cuisine in Clemmons!
Family owned, and the beacon of quintessential homemade goodness, Simply Southern Cuisine is known for consistent quality and the absolute freshest ingredients. Owner Lisa Miller and her staff have loved being part of customers’ holiday traditions (not to mention busy weeknights year-round when good food on the table is essential!) — and celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2021.
The business has continuously grown and updated, while staying true to those original, irresistible recipes.
“I realize with the addition of the larger oven last year, and increases in online orders, my business has evolved. We are now able to be more proactive than reactive!” says Lisa.
The addition of a walk-in freezer also continues to be a blessing!
“We now have room to store every menu item in 9” x 11” pans, as well as more volume of each item on the menu,” Lisa explains. “When we make a batch of a favorite item, it’s often 10 times the original recipe! Our regular customers know they can walk in and pick up a 9”x 11” pan of any menu item without having to special order.”
Lisa is also thrilled that online orders have increased significantly — most of the dinners for three, six, and 15 are being placed online — where it’s so much easier to order, especially if a customer is making multiple selections. Online ordering gives you extra time to ponder the delicious selection of entrées, side items, and desserts — and to make sure you’ve included every family member’s favorite — from the comfort of your home.
Their family-size favorites are a tradition, and nothing eases your holiday stress like having a delicious, homemade dinner picked up hot and ready to serve. But, if you prefer, pick up frozen and ready to cook on your own schedule. Thanksgiving menu options are available either fresh or frozen. Choose a complete meal for three, six, or 15 people, or order the individual sides and entrées that are your family’s favorites. For example, dinner for 15 includes a whole ham or two whole oven-roasted turkey breasts, along with three side items and a dessert served in 9” x 11” pans. Desserts for Thanksgiving week celebrations this year will include apple pie, pecan pie, pumpkin crisp, and cherry yum yum, while side dishes include green bean casserole, sausage pecan stuffing, sweet potato casserole, and broccoli casserole, among many tempting others.
We can’t emphasize ordering early enough! For Thanksgiving this year, the deadline for ordering is Friday, November 17. The store will be open from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, of Thanksgiving week, then closed Thursday November 23 through Sunday November 26. For Christmas, the deadline for orders will be Saturday, December 16. The store will be open normal hours the week of Christmas (Monday through Friday 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
