Looking to plan a picture perfect party? Let Alpha-Lit light up your big day. As the premiere marquee letter rental company in the Triad, Alpha-Lit allows anyone to illuminate weddings, corporate events, birth announcements, and more with the letters of their choice.
Located in High Point, North Carolina, Alpha-Lit is celebrating its one-year anniversary this coming October. Owner Ashley Tillery was drawn to opening Alpha-Lit’s Triad location after seeing a birth announcement post on social media featuring the brand’s marquee letters. By parlaying her 19 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and special events, she decided to reach out to Franchise owners Mackenzie and Dan to fill the community’s need for a marquee letter rental service. Almost immediately, Ashley’s inbox was inundated with excited messages about Alpha-Lit establishing its Triad roots. In addition to servicing the greater Triad area, including areas surrounding Mocksville, Lexington, Burlington, and Mount Airy, Alpha-Lit is even able to deliver to locations in Virginia such as Danville and Martinsville.
What sets Alpha-Lit’s service apart from its very few competitors in the area is not solely attributable to its reliable and efficient delivery services. Alpha-Lit letters possess the unique ability to be stacked two letters high, can be customized in order to suit logos and events of all kinds, and can be used just about anywhere. Many marquee letters are not weather-proof and are very one-dimensional, but Alpha-Lit letters are durable and versatile. As a brand, Alpha-Lit supports local businesses and is proud to produce all their letters within the United States.
Ashley ensures that Alpha-Lit’s Triad location accommodates last minute requests, offering rental-only services equipped with delivery and assembly. To help planners visualize their ideal Alpha-Lit set-up for their individual event, Ashley allows potential renters and hosts to view photo albums of past marquee letter set-ups for inspiration. Marquee letter rentals are able to be reserved with a 50-percent deposit, and it is recommended to book as far in advance as possible – especially when planning an event over a holiday.
After weathering the storm of the pandemic in the summer of 2020, Ashley was unsure of Alpha-Lit’s future while heading into the fall. Fortunately, due to social distancing and local restrictions, party planners and guests were having to learn how to adjust to new ways of celebrating, whether that involved drive-by parties, live streaming events on social media, or socially distanced gatherings outside. Alpha-Lit’s marquee letters helped bring Covid-era celebrations back to life.
Ashley attributes much of Alpha-Lit’s ability to withstand the throes of the pandemic to social media’s influence on party decor and photo opportunities. With an audience on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, it is now more important than ever to party planners and guests to capture the moment, and to do so in the most photogenic way possible. Seeing the excitement on guests’ and hosts’ faces when Ashley plugs in the marquee letters is one of the most rewarding aspects of her new career. In fact, being able to use her creativity in arranging letters and customizing orders for renters brings her joy.
“I could spell the same thing over and over again with our marquee letters and never get bored,” explains Ashley. “There is something at Alpha-Lit for everyone, and we love filling custom orders of all kinds.”
With COVID restrictions easing and life gradually getting back to normal, Ashley is already receiving bookings far into 2022. Don’t wait until it’s too late to book your letters.
