Publisher Perspective – May 2025

May is one of my favorite months of the year—and this one is extra special!

First, with Mother’s Day around the corner, I want to give a huge shoutout to all the incredible moms in my life. I feel especially grateful to work side-by-side with my own amazing mom every single day. It’s truly one of the greatest joys of my life. Her generous heart and passion for what she does continue to inspire me—and I know so many of you feel the same about the moms in your lives, too.

I also love watching so many of my close friends be total rockstars as moms. Toddlerhood looks tough—but also like so much fun. You all make it look easy (even though I know it’s not), and it’s such a joy to witness your love and energy in action.

Another exciting thing this May—I’m gaining a mother-in-law! Gavin’s mom is just the coolest. She’s super down-to-earth, absolutely loves her family, and is such a fun part of our gym community. Everyone loves hanging out with her—I feel so lucky that I get to call her both family and a friend.

And yes—May is WEDDING MONTH! Gavin and I are getting married on May 31st, and I truly can’t wait. When planning, we both agreed we wanted the day to be low-stress, simple, and meaningful. Our ceremony will be small and private, shared with just our immediate families, but don’t worry—we’ve got a fun, casual celebration planned afterward with all our people. Definitely not your typical wedding reception, and that’s exactly how we like it. I’m sure we’ll be sharing a few sneak peeks from the big day on our @forsythmags social media, so make sure you’re following along!

Mark your calendars—Girls’ Night Out is happening on Wednesday, May 7th at Manolo’s Boutique Wines & Bistro! We always have a blast and this venue is so fun—grab your tickets by scanning the QR code on page 59.

Brooke Eagle

Brooke Eagle is the publisher of Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family Magazines and the host of the Forsyth Magazines Podcast. She was born and raised in Clemmons, NC and currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC. Though Brooke graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education, she chose to join the magazines full time immediately after college. Her strong work ethic, love for community and leadership skills have been recognized by others as well! Brooke is the Immediate Past President of the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Professional Women of Winston-Salem (now Triad Women’s Club) and served on the Trellis Support Leadership Council (previously Hospice of Winston-Salem). In addition to her role with the magazines, Brooke is the co-owner of Washington Park CrossFit. Her role with the magazines and the gym aligns perfectly with her personal mission of having a positive impact on the growth and development of her local community. In her spare time, Brooke loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when that time is spent on the water! She loves wake surfing, snowboarding, CrossFit, and being a dog mom to her Bernedoodle and German Shepherd.
