Happy August!

I know many of us are probably a tad sick of this heat, but you know what? I always love the month of August. The back-to-school excitement sticks with me as an adult for some reason. Speaking of back to school, we collected SO MANY school supply donations at our July Girls’ Night Out event at Twisted Pine! We love supporting the Educator Warehouse each year, and this year was no different. Learn more about this incredible non-profit.

Just a few days ago, I had the pleasure of recording episode 200 of the Forsyth Magazines podcast! 200 episodes?! Isn’t that crazy? And, the coolest part was, I had on the same guests that were featured in episode #1 for episode 200 – Cheri and Justin Lingafelt, the owners of Accent Prone. These two are a power couple, and it’s always a pleasure to get to sit down and chat with them. They recently opened a second location in the Lake Norman area, and I couldn’t be more proud to follow along with their journey! You can tune in to the Forsyth Magazines podcast on Apple Podcast, Spotify and now, YouTube! We release a new episode every Thursday – be sure to subscribe to get alerts when a new episode is released. The podcast has become a favorite part of my job. It’s so much fun getting to know so many local business owners and movers and shakers right here in our community.

Brooke Eagle

Brooke Eagle is the publisher of Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family Magazines and the host of the Forsyth Magazines Podcast. She was born and raised in Clemmons, NC and currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC. Though Brooke graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education, she chose to join the magazines full time immediately after college. Her strong work ethic, love for community and leadership skills have been recognized by others as well! Brooke is the Immediate Past President of the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Professional Women of Winston-Salem (now Triad Women’s Club) and served on the Trellis Support Leadership Council (previously Hospice of Winston-Salem). In addition to her role with the magazines, Brooke is the co-owner of Washington Park CrossFit. Her role with the magazines and the gym aligns perfectly with her personal mission of having a positive impact on the growth and development of her local community. In her spare time, Brooke loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when that time is spent on the water! She loves wake surfing, snowboarding, CrossFit, and being a dog mom to her Bernedoodle and German Shepherd.
