Publisher Perspective; April 2025

There’s something extra special about this month’s cover—Amy Jah, founder of the Sugar Mamas Movement, graces it, and for good reason! Not only is Sugar Mamas the presenting sponsor of our 4th annual Women on the Move Conference, which took place on March 20th, but the movement itself was actually born from this very event. Amy attended the conference a few years ago, was inspired, and turned that spark into the thriving community that Sugar Mamas is today. How cool is that? It’s been so much fun to both be a member of the group and watch it evolve. Amy is such a powerhouse, and I love surrounding myself with women like her!

If you missed this year’s Women on the Move Conference, I’m truly so sorry—it’s always the best day! But don’t worry, you can check out all the fun over on @forsythmags on social media. And if you want to be the first to know when tickets go on sale for 2026, head to forsythwoman.com and subscribe to our newsletter.

As I write this, the conference is just a few days away, and to say I’m a little anxious is an understatement. I keep joking that this event is more stressful than planning my wedding (LOL, but also… kind of true?!). I take a lot of pride in making sure this day is impactful and worthwhile for every single attendee. Every year, I have stress dreams—things like missing the conference entirely or no one showing up. Of course, I know the event will be fantastic (it always is!), and I have the most amazing team behind me, but that pressure never fully fades. And honestly? I think that little bit of stress and anxiety is a good thing. It means I care and it means this event matters, right?

Now, onto this amazing April issue—hot off the press and packed with incredible content!

A special feature on Rooted Magnolia – Michael Brandon is actually doing the florals for my wedding in May, and he’s been such a pleasure to work with. He even invited Gavin and me to be part of a styled wedding shoot! Check out more about Rooted Magnolia and his stunning designs.

A feature on The Crest – a brand-new event venue in town. Fun fact: we’ll be celebrating Forsyth Woman’s 20th Anniversary there in September! Stay tuned for details—I cannot wait!
