Fashion for the FW: Accent Prone

This month we’re shopping for outfits at Accent Prone in Kernersville. Owned by the husband and wife team of Cheri and Justin, Accent Prone is the local place to shop for eclectic fashion and furniture. In fact, they have a wonderful selection of clothes, accessories, and gifts. With the Holiday season just around the corner, you can definitely go there to find all kinds of gifts for nearly everyone in your life!

Let’s get into the looks! This first one has all a great mix of all the things I love, neutrals + versatility. This ribbed v-tank is the perfect ‘winter white’ that you can layer and pair with so many pieces. I styled it with these wide-leg distressed jeans, a tan pair of lug boots & quilted Z-Supply jacket. For a warmer look, you could easily switch out the tank for a similar color long sleeve top or turtleneck.

This next look, we simply switched out the jeans to a black, wide-leg distressed denim and added this must-have fall hat. This look with a brown or black western bootie is chef’s kiss, perfecto. As I mentioned earlier, you could easily swap the tank for a long sleeve or turtleneck top.

Let’s take a moment for this hat and brown quilted jacket. Both can be styled in so many ways! This hat would pair with a sweater dress (mini or midi) and taller boots, denim jumpsuit and booties, or with flare jeans, a ribbed sweater and western boots. This quilted jacket can also be worn with leggings and an oversized (or more fitted) flannel, lighter denim and a graphic tee or with a leather pant and fitted long sleeve top.

*Style Tip: You can really switch up a look by switching out denim and/or adding accessories (shoes, hat, jewelry).

For this next outfit, we are elevating the black distressed denim with this gorgeous blouse. It can be worn fully tucked in, how I have it, or with a nice little French front tuck. This color is so beautiful on all skin colors and can dress up a simple pair of denim or trousers.

As you can see, this is another type of look you can pair back to the hat. I’m telling you ladies, versatility in your closet is key! We could elevate this look even more by adding a longer brown jacket and switching out the lug boots for a pointed toe bootie.

Ladies, when in doubt about your outfits, keep it simple. One thing I tell all of my clients that I’m styling is that you can almost never go wrong with a white or black top and jeans. Of course this type of look will not work for a formal event, but for most day-to-day, more casual lifestyle events, this is a very simple styling tip that sometimes we overlook.

However, especially in the cooler temps, you can easily add layers like this beautiful cream shacket, and yep – the hat and tan lug boots!

They say to leave the best, or coziest, look for last and this Z-Supply outfit should go in the dictionary for cozy. This jacket is reversible. My mind was just as blown as yours probably is right now. It is from their active line and one reason why I love it so much is because of how versatile (and warm) it is! I paired it with the Z-Supply V-neck you saw in the last look and with these cozy wide-leg sweatpants. Cozy up with this jacket, wear it to your workout classes or even throw it on with a pair of jeans.

It is no secret that Accent Prone has excellent staples that can be added to your closet, but you should also know that they have some great gifts that you can give this holiday season! Whether it’s for your mom, friend, sister, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, or yourself, ABLE genuine leather bags from Accent Prone make great gifts and are always a best-seller. Plus they have gorgeous jewelry, including e-Newton and Little Words Project bracelets and more!

Happy shopping!
