LEAD Girls of NC will kick-off their Annual Girls Rising Expo on Friday, October 28th beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a movie screening of “Inside Out” at Salem College, followed by a panel discussion with local experts on the topic of how to handle big feelings in healthy ways.
The Expo goes through Saturday, October 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by offering 100+ girls a full day of high-energy workshops, inspiring presentations by influential women in our community, plus chances to win amazing door prizes! The workshops for girls include: interactive exploration of STEAM, an educational workshop on financial literacy; and sessions to equip young leaders with coping skills and confidence-building strategies.
At the same time, parents and guardians will have the chance to hear a conversation between a few local experts about healthy Communication, building and deepening trust and strengths-based approaches to use to have success in their own lives. Panelists will shed light on the importance of emotional wellness, financial wellness, and community support.
