I don’t know about you, but I am getting really excited about Christmas this year. It is that time of year when we start thinking of friends and family that are coming home for the holidays. Decorating is an important subject and starting early will be less stressful. A list of the rooms you want to spruce up or redecorate is important. With the High Point Market behind us and fresh in our minds, we are swimming in new creative designs and products. We are excited to implement these new designs and styles with our clients for the holidays and for their everyday living. Most of us are aware of the supply and demand issues, so that is another reason to start early.
We have been blessed with many complete turn-key projects this past year. With more and more people moving here from other states, we have had many opportunities to redesign, remodel, and furnish homes. They leave or sell all their old furnishings and start over. It is an amazing trend. People ask me what style is on the horizon. I see traditional in a reborn way. Reborn is what I think of when mixing multiple styles together. The colors of pillows, rugs and other pieces change the overall feel of any setting. Designers are making cabinets in kitchens more interesting by mixing white, light wood, and colors. Mixing gold metals, black and other metals is becoming acceptable in one room. There was a time when all the metals had to match. Go figure. We have had a blast at reinventing classic homes. We desire to make these homes beautiful and comfortable just in time for the holiday season.
Christmas is on the tip of our tongues with Holiday Magic in the air and just around the corner. I focused on items for our retail showroom at market that clients and customers need this time of year to complete a room from start to finish. New lamps, mirrors, bedding, artwork, and accessories have been ordered. Starting early with a plan to furnish your home, remodel a bathroom or a kitchen is where it all begins.
