Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Wings with Lemon Garlic Aioli

These super crispy oven-baked chicken wings drizzled with hot honey and a lemon garlic aioli are the perfect game day recipe that everyone will love!

Ingredients for the Chicken Wings:

2-3 lb. Chicken Wings

1 tbsp. BBQ Seasoning

1 tbsp. Baking Powder

2 tsp. EACH: Paprika & Garlic Powder

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 cup Flour

3 tbsp. Melted Butter or Olive Oil

Zest of 1 Lemon

For the Lemon Garlic Aioli:

1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt

1/3 cup Mayonnaise

Zest and Juice of 1-2 Lemons

1 tbsp. Honey

2-3 Garlic Cloves grated

For the Hot Honey Glaze:

1/3 cup Honey

1 tbsp. Sriracha or hot sauce

Instructions for the Chicken Wings:

  1. Preheat oven to 435F. Add an oven-safe baking wire rack to a large, rimmed sheet pan. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, BBQ seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a larger bowl, drizzle the chicken wings with the olive oil. Toss to combine.
  4. Add the flour mixture and lemon zest to mix until well combined.
  5. Evenly distribute on the wire rack to bake 30-40 minutes, until deeply golden and crispy. Flip the chicken wings every 15 minutes.

For the Lemon Garlic Aioli:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. (Optional: Add chili crisp oil for extra heat.)

For the Hot Honey Glaze:

  1. Mix the honey and hot sauce until smooth. Adjust to taste.

To Serve:

  1. Add 1/4 cup of the lemon garlic aioli to a piping bag, cut off a small tip. Drizzle the crispy chicken wings with the aioli and a generous drizzle of the honey honey glaze. Enjoy warm with extra lemon garlic aioli on the side!
