Brooke Notes: The Publisher’s Perspective

A huge part of my job is attending photo shoots. In fact, I’ve already attended over 20 this year! I am honored to work with so many talented photographers, and I want to give them a quick shout out (in no particular order) because they deserve it.

Jodie Brim Creative – Jodie shot this month’s stunning cover and is a shining beam of positivity! Her energy is contagious and you feel like you can conquer the world after spending an hour with Jodie Brim!

Sail Off Photography – Natalie Sahloff is bubbly, energetic and makes sure her subjects feel comfortable and confident. She goes above and beyond to come prepared with a detailed game plan for every single photo shoot.

JEJ Photos – I have been working with Jon Eric Johnson of JEJ photos for well over 10 years now. His talent is incredible (just check out the cover of Forsyth Family this month and see for yourself!). He is detail oriented and does not stop until he gets the perfect shot.

Megan Black Photography – Megan is always smiling and brings an aura of calmness to her photo shoots. She took the stunning photos of the Winston-Salem picnic ladies featured HERE and you’ll often see her taking pics at our Girls’ Night Out events.

If you are in need of updated photos for your business or for your family, I would highly recommend these businesses listed above. And if they can’t help you, I promise they’ll point you in the right direction of someone who can. I am a big believer that great photos are one of the best investments you can make for your business.

I’m so proud of our gorgeous cover this month! Amanda Benedict, owner and founder of Blue Jean Boutique, is celebrating three years in business this month. Congratulations on this huge milestone, Amanda! You can read all about Amanda and her journey with Blue Jean Boutique here

On August 3rd we’ll be having our next Girls’ Night Out event!! This month, we’re excited to be doing something a little different as we’re partnering with the Winston-Salem Open. This GNO event will happen at Tucker’s Tap Yard and as we always do in the month of August, we’ll be collecting school supply donations for the Educator Warehouse. Stay tuned to our social media for more details (@forsythmags) and sign up for our newsletter to receive GNO reminder emails.

*Learn all about the educator warehouse and the amazing things they are doing for our local teachers!

Last but certainly not least, I’m eager to announce that registration is officially open for our annual Tour de Boutique event! This year it’s happening on Saturday Oct 7th

Wishing you a happy and healthy month of August!

All my best,

B
