The View From This Side: July 2018

June is a special month for me because I have so many special men in my life to honor.  First – my husband, Tim.  While we are now empty-nesters, Tim was an amazing father to our children and remains active and engaged in their lives.  Our family is so blessed by him, and I’m grateful to share my children with him!

Next, my prayer is that my own father has a Father’s Day that is as special as he is.  My dad has been my rock throughout my life, and not only is he my dad, he’s also been an instrumental factor in my business. Happy Father’s Day to my first hero, Kelly Groce!

And not everybody gets a bonus dad as special as mine, but a huge shout out to my step-father, Charlie Schuler.  He has been a welcome addition to our family for years, and we are blessed to have him. He’s loved me and my children as if we are his own.

Finally – it’s not a Father’s Day message, but a huge extra birthday shout out to my amazing Uncle Doug! He has been a constant in my life, and I’ve been blessed by all he’s taught me!  He’s an extraordinary man with an extraordinary story!  Plus, he’s been one of the biggest champions and supporters of Forsyth Woman!  He’s also a great sounding board for advice, and if you meet him, you quickly learn he’s never far from his camera.  He took all the pictures from the Komen Race shown on pages 52-53!

To all the men who read Forsyth Woman(and we know you’re out there, even if you don’t admit it!), we wish you all a very special and happy Father’s Day!

So now – other news to catch you up on!  We were so thrilled to be a part of the Komen Race last month!  It was bittersweet since it was the last Komen “Race for the Cure”– an event that has been 19 years strong in our community – but Komen has something new up their sleeves for 2019, and we can’t wait to see what’s next on the horizon!

We continue to work hard every month to bring you fresh, engaging content that is relevant to our readers and invites you to learn more about the amazing businesses and organizations within our community.  We can’t do it without our advertisers’ support!  Please share the love with them, and let them know you saw their ads and read their stories in Forsyth Woman!  Trust me – it matters!  And we appreciate your support!

Until next month! Make it a great one!
