On June 22, 2019, Samaritan Ministries will host their 6thannual Tour de Llama bike ride at Divine Llama Vineyards. Arbor Investment Advisors is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the event. All proceeds raised through rider registrations and sponsorships help provide food and shelter to our hungry and homeless neighbors in the Winston-Salem area.
The three bike routes go through rural Yadkin County through beautiful scenery and minimal traffic. Riders can choose 21, 38 and 61-mile routes that begin at 8:30 a.m. Registration on the day of the event opens at 7:30 a.m.
“Last year, the number of cyclists nearly doubled. We’re excited to see the growth of the event and are looking forward to another wonderful day at Divine Llama Vineyards” said Sonjia Kurosky, executive director of Samaritan Ministries.
After the ride, attendees are invited to stick around for lunch, tours, llama activities, photo opportunities, wine tastings and more on the farm.
Last year, 57 sponsors and 262 cyclists raised $27,547. Samaritan Ministries’ goal this year is $22,500. The fee is $30 per person and riders must be 18+. Sponsorships are $250 or $1,000. Samaritan would like to thank Arbor Investment Advisors, Ken’s Bike Shop, and all sponsor and vendor partners for helping to plan this special day for cyclists.
Active.com is currently accepting registrations for a four-ride package deal. Riders can pay $100 and participate in four rides that all benefit local non-profits. The rides are Saddles and Spokes (June 8); Tour de Kale (June 13); Tour de Llama (June 22) and Operation Red Sleigh (July 20).
Divine Llama Vineyard is located at 4126 Divine Llama Lane in East Bend. For more information and to register as a rider or sponsor, visit samaritanforsyth.org/tour-de-llama/.
