Oh to look cute….

Whenever I get invited to a wedding, it’s always a scramble to find just the right dress, then the right shoes.  I’m a runner so my shoe of choice for normal wear is anything that supports my feet, aka the Granny shoes.  For this wedding, I wanted to show off all the miles I put on my legs with a cute pair of heels.  These were not Granny heels but a moderate heel, comfortable for the first three hours of the reception.  When everyone started the Electric Slide I knew I’d show my moves better without my shoes.  Big Mistake!  I tried to put my protesting feet back in the shoes after the dance but someone swapped out my shoes with a smaller size!  Still wanting to look cute, I shoved my protesting feet back into the shoes.  Ouch!  Did all the fluid I drank go to my toes once my feet moved out of the heel position?  Have you ever felt that need to look cute override the need of comfort?  Have your feet every boycotted you?
