The word “consignment” evokes mixed emotions for me. The thought of finding amazing treasures can sometimes seem like a chore, given the wide variety of consignment stores in the Forsyth area. So imagine my relief the first time I walked through the doors of Treasures Décor Consignments.
I knew right away that this place was different. Tucked in the booming Clemmons community behind McDonald’s on Lewisville-Clemmons Road, the store has a commanding presence. As she began showing me around her store, she explained how to read the price tags. The price of the item drops over time by a set percentage. You can choose to wait a few days if you want a better price, but this also means accepting that someone else might buy it instead. Shoppers in every price range will be glad to know they are welcome here. I picked up a gorgeous miniature treasure chest that was already at its lowest price, and wasn’t able to put it down. Perhaps it was knowing that I was getting an amazing deal, or perhaps it was the quality of items throughout the store that cured my “consignment blues.”
