Let us start by giving a huge thanks to our friend and talented actor/model Jonathan Burch for getting us connected to this wonderful publication, Forsyth Woman magazine! Secondly, please know that we are very appreciative to the Forsyth Woman readers for lending us their ears for just a moment…

We are New Daydream Films and we make movies. The art of making films is what we live for. And every so often, we come across a project that we feel can really have a positive, lasting effect on the people who watch our films.
That is what we have with Angel of Hope.  This short film tells the story of Lacey Smith (Emma Lyle), a young child who has been battling leukemia. As she becomes aware that her final days are approaching, she becomes more afraid and struggles to comprehend her diagnosis. Her father, Martin (Elijah Chester), who tries his best to remain strong, explains that there’s a whole other world in our very existence – a universe filled with joy, and possibilities more than the imagination can carry.
This heartfelt piece inspires adults and children alike to always keep pushing further, and to know that, no matter what obstacles come your way, there is always something greater waiting for you. Angel of Hope is a riveting story of a father and daughter that can help bring families together and teach us to embrace every moment of life we have.
Our ultimate goal for this short film is to send out DVD packages to children’s hospitals all over the US.  We are hoping to have Marlo Thomas make a Public Service Announcement about the piece, as well.  Local and major film festivals are also a goal, including Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, etc.
The overall funding needed for this production is $1,500. A total of $5,000 worth of post services are being provided at no cost to us. We are using a great service called KickStarter to raise the funds we need to make this project happen. Please head over to the following link for more info and to help us get this film made:  http://www.kickstarter.com/profiles/ndf/projects/created
On the page you will find more story information, a video from our little star, the film’s poster and the awesome rewards our backers will receive for their generosity.
Lastly, when you are thinking about donating, please remember:  100% of ALL of the film’s earnings will be donated to cancer research. Not just the profit, but EVERY penny the film sees will be donated.
Thank you for your time!
