As you look to the New Year, unfortunately you can almost be assured that either you or a family member will have a bump-up in the parking lot, a run-in with a grocery cart, or a collision merging into traffic. But whatever your needs are in the dings, dents or serious damage to your vehicle department, Pat’s Body Shop, locally owned and operated by Sandra Scarlette, with two Triad locations, has the experienced technicians and dedication to customer service to take care of any and all of your collision needs.

Knowing Her Business From Bumper to Bumper For Sandra Scarlette, owner of Pat’s Body Shop, much of her life has been spent around cars and learning the auto body shop business from bumper to bumper. “My brother Pat Scarlette began Pat’s Body Shop off of Highway 150 in 1964, and then moved to Liberty Street and now to our Devoted to Quality Work in Dings, Dents & Damage 30 / forsythwoman.com current location on Country Club Road. As my sister and I were growing up, we’d come home  from school and go to work at the shop; Pat made sure that we learned every part of the auto body repair business. After Pat’s heart attack in 1992, he asked if I’d want to run the business. A few years later, in 1997, I bought the business and it has been growing ever since,” said Sandra. In 2005, Pat died in a plane crash, but he was witness to  the success of his little sister, working with the knowledge he had shared over the years.

If you have seen the ‘workings’ of Pat’s Body Shop in Winston-Salem, NC, with  14,000 square feet of office and shop space, you know that the word ‘growing’ is an understatement. “From the early days when my brother started the business, there have  been so many changes that have come along with expansion, but the one thing that we have never changed is our dedication to the best customer service in collision repair.  We realize that people have a choice in where they go to get their vehicles repaired, and we focus on treating each of our customers as individuals, not as a number. Over the  years, we have had several generations of families come back for their repair needs and customer loyalty like that only comes from satisfied customers year after year,” Sandra stated. In fact, recently a national insurance company ranked Pat’s Body Shop as being in the top 10 auto body repair shops in the country, receiving 955 out of a  possible 1,000 points, a status that Sandra and her staff are very proud of, and which she again credits to her shop ‘family’ of staff and to the extended ‘family’ of her  customers. “We send thank you notes to every customer to let them know we appreciate their business and hope that, should they need our services in the future, we will be  their choice. Our philosophy is simple, ‘treat your customers the way you would like to be treated,’” commented Sandra.

Pat’s Body Shop is also environmentally conscious,  with a belief in ‘going green’ in collision repair. “Keeping with the focus on being more earth friendly, we have the latest in ‘green’ air compressors, lighting systems, paint, oil and antifreeze recycling, as well as paper, cardboard and aluminum. In 2012 we will be using water born paints, which is another step toward becoming ‘greener,’” Sandra said.
