If just hearing “I found it on Pinterest” makes you want to hop online immediately, then come experience a hands-on event that brings pins to life! Pinterest lovers, call your fellow addicts and get geared up for the hottest Girls’ Night Out yet!
On Tuesday, August 14th, we’ll co-host a Pinterest Party with Forsyth Magazines for a night of fashion, DIY crafts, food, drinks and more! This ticketed event will be held at the wonderful Winmock at Kinderton. Still trying to wrap your brain around Pinterest?
Here’s what you need to know:
• Pinterest is a massive online bulletin board where users can “pin” photos of items they love … everything from food to fashion, crafts to travel, and more.
• It’s currently one of the fastest growing social media sites.
• A full 70% of “pinners” are female, spending more time on the site than on Facebook. Pinterest is addictive – it’s easy to use, aesthetically pleasing and inspiring. It’s also a ice refuge from Facebook and Twitter, which require a lot more reading and interacting. With smart phone apps and the website, it’s easily accessible (great when you have that 10 minutes to kill). And it really promotes the “I can do it” mentality – everyone feels like they can make that craft or recipe.
